ANNEX 5: COMPOSITION OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE USED IN THE STUDY
These are 'guesstimates', but are based on a number of studies which have carried out waste analysis at the Local Authority level. Some of these studies are based on a 'hands on' approach, others are based on ACORN data. There is a clearly subjective element in the final choice, but guidance from other studies undertaken in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Birmingham, London, and various authorities in Scotland and Wales has been sought.
